Alexander Nester is a graduate engineer specialising in nuclear technology who has been working in the nuclear services and decommissioning industry for many years. He completed his mechanical engineering studies at Dresden University of Technology, where he developed a sound technical understanding of complex engineering issues.
Alexander Nester began his career in the nuclear industry in 2020 as a trainee at VPC Nukleare Dienstleistungen GmbH (now Hinneburg GmbH) . There, he deepened his knowledge of technical project management and laid the foundation for his further specialisation in the fields of decommissioning, waste treatment and nuclear services. As a project engineer, he gained extensive experience in the planning, supervision and implementation of technical projects in the nuclear sector. At the same time, he took on responsibility as radiation protection officer, adding an important safety-related skill to his profile.
Since January 2026, he has been Head of Dismantling and Treatment, responsible for the dismantling and waste treatment division. In this role, he contributes his technical expertise, project understanding and many years of industry experience to further develop sophisticated solutions for the nuclear industry.
