At EDF’s Paluel site, we implemented a comprehensive project to improve radiation protection in selected areas of the plant. Our scope of services included on-site measurements, design, structural analysis, production and installation of customised shielding elements.
The task was to develop compact and effective shielding that would contribute to a permanent reduction in dose rate and at the same time meet operational requirements such as accessibility, maintainability and stability. Proven materials and well thought-out design principles were used.
