For EDF at the Nogent site, we implemented a project to shield the cooling system for the storage basin. Our scope of services included on-site measurements, design, structural analysis, manufacture and installation of the shielding elements.
The aim was to permanently reduce radiation exposure in the area of the storage basin cooling system and thus improve the protection of personnel. The customised shields were designed and installed taking into account the operational conditions and safety requirements.
The implementation was carried out on schedule and in close cooperation with the customer in compliance with all relevant nuclear safety standards.
