For the EPZ at the Borssele site in the Netherlands, we took on the engineering for a replacement of the existing shielding gate at the Castor lock.
The aim was to develop a technically reliable and radiation protection-compliant solution that fits seamlessly into the existing infrastructure. The focus was on the design in accordance with current safety requirements, optimised handling and the long-term operational safety of the new gate. Our services included the design planning, static evaluation and documentation-compliant development of the new shielding concept.
The engineering was carried out in close coordination with the customer and in compliance with national and international requirements in the nuclear sector.
